Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for April 2025.

Tye Briscoe
Senior
Tye is a four-year letterman for the Wylie baseball team, and he recently threw a no-hitter versus Wichita Falls Legacy to help the Bulldogs secure the District 4-5A Championship in 2025. Away from WHS, you’ll find Tye around the Wylie little league fields where he umpires or keeps the scorebook during games. He also lifts at Hyperthrive throughout the week. After graduation, Tye will attend the University of Arkansas where he will continue his baseball career.

Brighton Diller
Senior
Brighton is a multiple-year member of both the district champion golf team and district champion volleyball team. She is this year’s senior class vice president, and she is also involved at WHS in PALS, the Purple Dog Company and the Bulldog Protection Program. Brighton attends Pioneer Drive Baptist Church where she participates in student ministry, the worship team and the choir. She is a belle in the Abilene Philharmonic, and she loves playing pickleball and going to cycle classes. Brighton plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Engineering.

Selene Rode
Senior
Selene was a member of the district champion Wylie track and field team this season. She is also a member of the Wylie High School National Honor Society. When she is not at WHS, you’ll see Selene volunteering at Hendrick Hospital and attending church at Beltway. She is going to college at Texas Tech University in the fall and studying pre-med.

Reece Templeton
Junior
Reece is a member of the state qualifying Wylie boys golf team, and he recently finished in second place as an individual at the District 4-5A golf tournament in April. When he’s not on the course, Reece is in the ag shop welding. He attends church at Beltway. When his time at WHS concludes, Reece hopes to continue his golf playing career in college.

Andre Washington
Senior
Andre is a state qualifier this season in the boy’s triple jump with a qualifying jump of 46 feet, 10.5 inches. He is also heavily involved at WHS in the audio-visual production classes producing content for Wylie Bulldog Productions. Outside of school, Andre can be found at West Texas Rehab participating in volunteer work. He plans to attend Abilene Christian University and study multimedia.

Reven Wright
Junior
Reven is a two-sport varsity athlete participating in both softball and basketball. This season, she has helped both teams to the playoffs in 2025. Outside of school, she attends church at Beltway. Reven is looking forward to attending college after graduation and hopes to continue her softball career.
