Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for November 2025.
Landry Cheyne
Junior
Landry is a member of the girls’ golf team and was a regional qualifier with the Bulldogs in 2024. She is also a member of the WHS varsity choir where she has participated since junior high. Landry is a leader in the Student 2 Student program where she gives tours of WHS. In addition, she is a member of the Wylie Health Care Academy and HOSA. Away from school, she plays summer golf tournaments on the West Texas Junior Champions Tour. After graduation, Landry plans to go to nursing school.
Julia DeLauney
Senior
Julia is a four-year letter winner and state qualifier as a member of the Wylie swim team. Outside of school, she attends Pioneer Drive where she participates in the youth group activities. She also enjoys being with my family and friends, cooking and baking. When she finishes at Wylie, Julia will study nursing at Abilene Christian University with hopes to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
Teagan Dougherty
Senior
Teagan is also a four-year letter winner and state qualifier for the Wylie swim team. He also is part of the WHS Automotive Technology dual-credit program through Cisco College. Outside of school, Teagan enjoys lifting weights and attending racing events. After graduation, he plans to go to school in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He also plans to swim at the school he attends.
Mark Esquibel
Senior
Mark is a two-year starter for the Wylie football team on the offensive line. Inside the halls of WHS, he participates in the electrical program. Mark goes to church at Beltway Park. After WHS, Mark plans to get a job as an electrician or go to trade school at Texas State technical College.
Julius Laine
Senior
Julius is a four-year member of the Bulldog football team, and he also participates in track in the spring. He attends church at Remington Ridge. After graduation, Julius plans to pursue an opportunity to play football in college.
Reece Templeton
Senior
Reece is a player of the WHS boys’ golf team and a member of the 2024 state qualifiers for the Bulldogs. When he is not on the golf course for Wylie, he is active in the WHS welding classes. He attends church at Beltway Park. Reece looks forward to playing golf in college.
