Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for December 2025.

Maria Brigino
Junior
Maria competes for both the Wylie swimming team and Wylie soccer team. She is also involved in the WHS Student Council and Med Life program. Away from school, Maria attends church at Holy Family. She is excited to pursue opportunities to swim competitively in college while pursuing a degree in nursing.

Joshua Heidema
Senior
Joshua is a member of the Wylie swimming program. His other interests include chess, muay thai and jujitsu as well as building up a business profile in real estate. After graduation, Joshua plans to become a realtor full-time and grow a business.

King Lloyd
Junior
Basketball
King is in his second season on the Wylie varsity basketball team. He also enjoys working out at the gym and playing video games in his spare time. He is in the WHS student council and volunteers in multiple areas such as food drives and clothing drives. He also attends Beltway Church. After WHS, King plans to go to college and hopefully get an athletic scholarship to play basketball at a college in Texas.

Ntsushom Chendi
Senior
Chendi is a teammate on the Wylie varsity soccer team. Outside of school, he attends church at Christian Family. After graduation, Chendi plans to attend a four-year college with aspirations of playing soccer and obtain a degree in accounting.

Clara Percival
Senior
Clara is a member of the WHS varsity soccer team, and she is highly involved in PAALS, Student-2-Student, Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as National Honor Society, and she’s the assistant editor of the WHS yearbook. She goes to church at Beltway, volunteers regularly with the Bulldog Protection Program, and gives soccer lessons for some younger soccer players. Clara plans to attend Texas A&M and major in biology. She would like to use her degree to go to medical school and possibly become an oncologist.

Presley Rasmussen
Senior
Presley is a four-year member of the Wylie varsity basketball team. She also participates in track and field in the spring. She is also a member of the WHS Student Council and is involved in the CNA program. Outside of school, she attends Young Life and goes to Beltway. Presley plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in chemistry.
