The Wylie baseball pitching trio of Luke Walker, Gehrig Fletcher and Colby Garrett combined for a no-hitter against Abilene Cooper on Tuesday night, leading the Bulldogs to a 10-2 win at Bulldog Field.
Each of the three pitchers had three strikeouts during their mound time. Walker went the first 2.1 innings of scoreless baseball, and Gehrig followed with 1.2 innings shutting down the Cougars. Garrett pitched the final three innings of no-hit ball to earn the win.
On the offensive side, Myles McCarty swung a hot bat, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple and five runs batted in. Hudson Tuley went 2-4 with a triple and three RBI.
The Bulldogs (13-10, 2-1) continue their District 4-5A march on Friday when they travel to Wichita Falls Legacy. First pitch is at 6:30 pm.
