Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for March 2026.
Kylee Barnes
Senior
Kylee competes as a member of the Wylie powerlifting team. She also participates in FFA program and competes in the LDE and CDE competitions. Kylee attends church at Beltway, and she loves to hang out with her friends. When she is not powerlifting, she loves to go fishing with her dad and spend as much time with him as possible before he leaves for deployment. Kylee plans to pursue an associate’s degree at Cisco College this summer and then attend Hendrick’s radiology program.
Avah Dishong
Senior
Ahah competes on the Wylie girls track team, and she is a member of the WHS Student Council. Away from school, she works at Crumbl Cookies, and she enjoys running, working out, going on side quests, and spending time with family and friends. After graduation, Avah plans to attend Abilene Christian University and major in kinesiology to become a physical therapist.
Cash Isbell
Senior
Cash is a member of both the Wylie varsity football team and varsity track team. Outside of school, he loves to go fishing, and he also operates his own window washing business. Cash is planning to attend Tarleton State University and join the ROTC program. His plans to eventually become a fighter pilot.
Shae McAllister
Junior
Shae plays for the Wylie varsity softball team, and she is also heavily involved at WHS as a member of the National Honor Society, FCCLA, and Student-2-Student. She is also the Junior Class Vice President and a varsity volleyball manager. Shae volunteers at the West Texas Rehab Center during the summer at their kids’ summer camp, and she volunteers at the Winter Lightfest. She enjoys designing different things on Canva in her free time or when she is in her Graphic Design class. She also enjoys gardening and making flower bouquets! After graduation, Shae plans to attend Baylor University to major in Psychology.
Jimmy Stearns
Senior
Jimmy is a member of the Wylie varsity baseball team. He’s played baseball since he was five years old and says it’s been a lot of fun. Jimmy is also involved in the Purple Dog Company, a WHS student organization that creates and sells Wylie merchandise. He adds that it is his favorite class of the day. He goes to church at Heavenly Rest and helps there every Sunday as an acolyte. Jimmy also loves to wake surf at Lake Coleman and competes in surf competitions during the summer. He also started a lake lifestyle apparel brand called Throw the Rope when he was a freshman. Jimmy plans to major in business at The Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech.
Tristen Warner
Junior
Tristen is a member of the Wylie powerlifting team. He is also involved in the WHS Culinary Arts program. Tristen is a big fan of working out in his spare time. His plans after high school include continuing his educational career in college.
