Make that three years in a row.
It was another dominating two-round performance by the Wylie boys golf team during the 2026 District 4-5A tournament, a tournament that saw the Bulldogs claimed their third straight district title.
WHS shot a two-day team score of 608 (300-308) to earn the championship and advance to the Region I-5A tourney later this month.
Individually, Jack Cole claimed the solo title with a two-round score of 147 (70-77). His first-round 70 was the tournament's only under par round by any competitor.
Jack Steadman’s 152 (78-74) and a playoff win landed the sophomore in third place. Add Jack Currington’s 154 (74-80) for fifth place and Reece Templeton’s 155 (78-77) for sixth, and the Bulldogs claimed four of the top six individual spots. Their top ten individual finishes earned each of them All-District recognition.
The Bulldogs now set their sights on the Region I-5A tournament scheduled for April 13-14 at LakeRidge Country Club in Lubbock.
