It was so nice, they did it twice!
The WHS Lady Bulldog golf team followed a district championship in 2025 by duplicating those efforts into another impressive two-round performance at the 2026 District 4-5A tournament. Wylie built a 23-shot lead after the first round that carried through Wednesday’s final round, securing back-to-back titles for the program.
The district title secures a spot for the Bulldogs in the Region I-5A tournament set for April 15-16 at LakeRidge Country Club in Lubbock.
Kayla Lovegreen also won the individual district championship after a two-round total of 171 (80-91), and Landry Cheyne was the runner up with a 181 (83-98). That duo along with Mackayla Holt and Abby Bertrand each earned individual All-District honors with top ten finishes.
The Wylie Gold team also had a great showing during the tourney with a third-place overall finish.
