Heading Back to State!

That’s becoming common language around the Wylie boys golf team. The Bulldogs put together consecutive days of quality golf at the Region I-5A tournament Monday and Tuesday in Lubbock to solidify a berth to state for the second straight year.

WHS shot a two-day team score of 615 (308-307) to claim the second place team spot, five shots behind champion Argyle.

Individually, Reece Templeton (143) paced WHS with a first-day 73 followed by and under par round of 70. Jack Steadman followed with a two-day score of 150 (77-73).

The 5A state tournament will be held April 27-28 at the Legacy Hills Golf Club in Georgetown.
