The Wylie volleyball finished off a city sweep of their crosstown rivals Tuesday night at Cooper Gym with an exciting win against Abilene Cooper 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.
Wesley Ruff led the Bulldog attack with a team-high 10 kills. Indiah Maroney had six kills and two blocks, Hanna Hood led the team with 16 assists, Kat Martinez scored 24 digs, and Mycala Reed served up three aces.
With the win, the Bulldogs have distanced themselves from the rest of the District 4-5A and are close to solidifying one of the top two spots for the playoffs with four matches remaining.
They are back on the home court Friday, October 14 when they host Lubbock Monterey. The varsity match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
