BOYS GOLF LANDS A TOP-FIVE FINISH

The Wylie boys golf team shaved 20 strokes off their team score from their first tournament of the year to shoot a two-day team total of 620 landing them a fifth-place finish in the Diamondback National Tournament played Monday and Tuesday at the Diamondback Golf Course in Abilene.

After an opening day score of 312, the Bulldogs tallied a Tuesday score of 308 for a two-day total of 620.

Individually, sophomore Casen James finished in tenth place for the second time in the fall after totaling a 153 (74-79). All five Bulldog golfers finished at least one round with an individual final score in the seventies.

Wylie continues their fall schedule on Friday, October 28 at the Squaw Valley Invitational in Glen Rose.
