The Wylie Lady Bulldog basketball team came out firing and never let up as WHS opened District 4-5A play by hitting eight three-pointers and cruising past Abilene High 62-24 Tuesday night at Eagle Gym.
Wylie outscored the Lady Eagles in all four quarters and blew the game open in the second half, outscoring AHS 36-10.
Alexis LaCroix drilled three three-pointers en route to a game-high 13 points. Senior Caroline Steadman buried two from deep as part of her 12 points, Joyah Maroney reached double-figures with 10, and Kyla Kelley hit two triples and scored nine points.
The Lady Bulldogs (10-7, 1-0) are on the road Friday for a non-district game at Plainview. They return to district action next Tuesday, December 20 when they host Abilene Cooper at Bulldog Gym.
