The Bulldog boys golf team brought home the hardware in their first tournament of the spring season by winning the two-day Snyder Invitational last weekend at the Scurry County Golf Course and Sammy Baugh Golf Course.

The team’s first-round score of 300 on Friday is the lowest team score posted during Coach Campbell’s tenure at WHS.

Individually, Casen James finished in second place with a two-day score of 152 (75-77).

The girls golf team started their spring season off string with a fifth-place finish in the two-day San Angelo Girls Classic last weekend at Quicksand Country Club and San Angelo Country Club.

Amelie Liew claimed a sixth-place individual finish while teammate Kiara Fierro placed tenth.

The girls will be participating in a tournament this Friday in Sweetwater. The boys return to tournament action February 17-18 in Midland.
