It was a great night for the home team Friday at Hugh Sandifer Stadium as the Wylie girls soccer team rolled to an impressive 5-0 win versus Lubbock High.

Allie Allen was on fire for the Bulldog offense with a hat-trick three goal performance. Maly Wallem and Maci Hanson added goals for WHS. Assists for the team came from Sarah Williams (3), Hanson, Teagan Brown, Kaylee Richardson and Sarah Williams.

Avery Anders and the Bulldog defense put together their second shutout in the last two games as well.

"Great TEAM win!", said WHS Head Coach Maddie Martin. "I’m really proud of how we played tonight from start to finish. Things really clicked for us tonight on both sides of the ball. We created a lot of great chances and played great defense, it just all came together. Now, we’re looking forward to competing against Lubbock Coronado and Cooper next week."

WHS hosts Coronado on Tuesday before traveling to Lubbock Cooper on Friday. Both varsity games this week begin at 5:00 p.m.
