Congratulations to the 16 Wylie Bulldog tennis players who participated in the National Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Tournament last weekend in San Antonio.
The UTR Tournament is an invitation only tourney that placed the Bulldogs against some outstanding competition from across Texas and United States. Both the boys and girls teams from WHS played in the top draw of the tournament.
The WHS boys played Monteverde Academy out of Florida that had players from Brazil, Argentina, Ireland, South Africa and other countries. The teams the boys played were San Antonio Reagan, Amarillo High and Keller. At the end of the weekend, the boys had won two and lost two.
The WHS girls equally played four tough teams in Amarillo High, Round Rock Westwood, Allen and Lake Travis. The girls also won two and lost two.
Bulldog tennis returns to the courts on Thursday, March 9 in San Angelo.
