Congratulations to the Wylie golf teams for strong their tournament play over the weekend, March 3-4.
All five WHS team members placed in the individual top 25 that led to the team coming home as the third-place team from the Abilene High School Spring Invitational.
Individually, Amelie Liew finished in fourth place, Kiara Fierro was ninth, Brighton Diller and Linden Smalley tied for 16th, and Zoey Anzaldua placed in 23rd.
The Wylie boys spent the weekend in Lubbock playing against a combination of tough conditions and quality competition. The team finished the weekend in eighth place, and Casen James was the top Bulldog individual placing 15th.
The boys play in the San Angelo Classic this weekend, March 10-11. The girls return to the course on March 27 for the first round of district play at the Rawls Course in Lubbock.
