Baseball Run Rules Lubbock High, Two Big Games Remaining

Carter Beard pitched a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts and the Bulldog bats busted open a tight game with six runs in the fourth inning as WHS beat Lubbock High 10-0 in a five-inning run-rule victory.

Hays Sipe, Sam Walker and Braden Regala led the offensive attack for the Bulldogs with two hits apiece. After the six-run fourth inning, the Bulldogs added three more in the fifth to secure the run-rule win.

The win has Wylie currently in fourth place in District 4-5A at 10-6 with two games remaining. WHS plays at Coronado on Tuesday, April 25 before finishing the district schedule with Lubbock Cooper on Friday, April 28.
