The Wylie tennis team claimed another piece of gold hardware Tuesday afternoon as the Bulldogs opened the Class 5A playoff with a 12-0 sweep of Amarillo Caprock.

WHS swept all seven doubles matches to start the day and then closed out the match with five singles victories. The 12 total wins was enough to close out the team tennis bi-district championship.

The Bulldogs are right back on the court for their area playoff matchup with El Paso High on Thursday, October 12. The match begins at 1:00 p.m. at Midland High School.
