The Wylie boys golf team came off the tee boxes on fire this weekend as WHS posted eight rounds in the 70's to claim a third place finish in the Lubbock ISD Invitational September 5-6.

WHS finished third behind Class 4A state champion Bridgeport and Class 4A state runner-up Andrews. The Bulldog's second-round team total of 294 was just one stroke behind the school record.

Individually, Casen James and Jack Curington placed seventh with identical scores of 146.

The Bulldogs are back in competition on September 27-28 at the Dinosaur Classic in Glen Rose.
