Gold Ball Season started out on a high note for the Wylie volleyball team as Lady bulldogs beat Amarillo Caprock 25-14, 25-17, 23-25, 26-24 in the Class 5A bi-district playoffs Tuesday night at Levelland High School.
Indiah Maroney led the Bulldog attack with a team-high 16 kills and two blocks. Callie O’Connell added 22 assists and four digs, Kat Martinez posted 17 digs, Wesley Ruff tallied two blocks, Hanna Hood scored 17 assists and two aces and Ashton Hanson provided six digs and two aces.
The Bulldogs (25-17) have now won seven matches in a row and move into the area round of the Class 5A playoffs on versus El Paso High. The match is set for Saturday, November 5 beginning at 2:00 p.m. CST at Midland Christian High School.
