WHS CONGRATULATES THE OCTOBER STUDENT ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

 WHS Congratulates the October Student Athletes of the Month

Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for October 2024.

Joshua Cole
Senior
Joshua is a two-year letterman in both football and baseball, and he is also a member of the WHS National Honor Society. He attends church at Beltway Park Church. Away from school, Joshua volunteers at Stick Horses and Capes, and he loves spending time with family and friends in his free time. After graduation, he plans to attend Abilene Christian University.

Coleman David
Senior
Coleman has been a part of the state qualifying Wylie tennis program, and he participated in the WHS choir program for three years. Outside of school, he is a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ. Next year, Coleman plans to attend Abilene Christian University and obtain a degree in criminal justice.

Marisa Dudley
Junior
Marisa was a regional qualifier in cross country this fall, and she will continue her success as part of the track and field program this spring. She is on the WHS Student Council as the Design Director, and she is also a member of the WHS National Honors Society. Marisa volunteers at the All Kind Animal Initiative and the Abilene Zoo. She is looking forward to attending a university and going into the healthcare field.

Ella Heuerman
Senior
Ella plays a major role on the 2024 district champion Wylie volleyball team. She is also a member of the WHS National Honor Society and participates in the PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program. Ella attends church at Southern Hills Church of Christ. After graduation, she plans to attend Abilene Christian University and pursue a degree in nursing.

Aidan Ortega
Senior
Aidan is a two-year letter winner on the Bulldog football team and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He goes to church at The Well, and he likes to work out and play video games in his free time. Aidan plans to enroll at Texas Tech University and eventually get his Doctorate degree to become an anesthesiologist.

Hope Willis
Sophomore
Hope helped lead the Wylie tennis team to the state tournament this fall. She was also a member of the WHS varsity basketball team. She enjoys babysitting kids and spending time with family and friends, and she is a member at Beltway Park Church. Away from WHS, Hope is taking tennis lessons and traveling to play in various tournaments throughout the year. She plans to play tennis in college and pursue a career in the medical field.
