Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for January 2025.
Addison Adkins
Senior
Addison, or “Jojo” as her teammates call her, is a member of the WHS varsity soccer team. She has been inducted as a member of the WHS National Honor Society, and she enjoys competing in Ag Mechanics as part of the Wylie FFA program. Jojo goes to church at Highland Church of Christ, and she plans to attend Abilene Christian University to become an occupational therapist.
Summer Diehl
Freshman
Summer is a member of the WHS swim team, and she participates in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on campus. She also plans to be involved in student council and the basketball program as a manager. Summer is a Zoo Teen at the Abilene Zoo, volunteers at events on Dyess AFB for deployed families and she is in the Holy Family Catholic Church Youth Group. She likes art, spending time with friends and playing sports, and she will also attend the USAFA Swim Camp in Colorado Springs this summer. She plans to attend college and pursue a degree in either veterinary science, business or sports nutritionist.
Lobokola Enduki
Senior
Lobo is a four-year member of the WHS boys’ soccer team, and he played on the varsity football team his senior year as the punter. You’ll also find Lobo serving up school spirit during pep rallies and other events as the Bulldog mascot Spike. Outside of school, he volunteers coaching youth in private soccer training lessons. Lobo plans to play soccer in college after his days at WHS.
Joyah Maroney
Junior
Joyah is a three-year athlete for both the Lady Bulldog varsity basketball team and track program. She is a member of the WHS National Honor Society also serves as an S2S (Student to Student) member. Joyah goes to church at South Side Baptist Church, and she also love to read and play the piano in her free time. She plans to attend Texas A&M university and study business management.
Tiegan Pacheco
Senior
Tiegan is in his fourth season on the WHS swim team. Away from school, you’ll find him around the pool coaching for the YMCA Tidal Wave swim team. After graduation, he plans on going to the University of Mississippi and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. Tiegan plans to become a sports agent or sports marketing specialist.
Tristen Taylor
Senior
Tristen is a member of the boys varsity basketball team, and you’ll find him volunteer coaching basketball at the AYSA during the summer. He currently works at Abilene Equipment Center (AEC) in his spare time. Tristen plans on either finding a trade to pursue and either attending TSTC or the University of Nebraska.
