A fantastic year for Wylie Girls powerlifting team wrapped up in style at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association state meet March 15 in Edinburg. The Lady Bulldogs sent seven qualifiers to state to showcase their talents with the best in Texas.

Additionally, Kiley Landeros and Ary Perez-Rivera brought home state medals with top-five finishes in their respective weight classes. Landeros placed second in the 114-pound class while Perez-Rivera placed fourth in the 97-pount class.

Lifters combine their total weight of three lifts - bench press, squat and dead lift - for a final total score.

Congratulations to all seven of our powerlifters as well as Coach Cort Arthur on a on a great 2024-2025 season.
