GIRLS STATE POWERLIFITNG RESULTS: ROSS FIRST-EVER WHS STATE MEDALIST

Girls State Powerlifitng Results: Ross First-Ever WHS State Medalist
A historic year of Wylie Girls powerlifting was capped off in style at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association state meet March 17-18 as the team showcased their talents with the best in Texas. WHS had eight qualifiers for the state meet, the most Wylie has ever sent to state in the girls' competition.

Additionally, Brylee Ross became the first-ever WHS lifter to medal at state after she lifted a combined weight of 505 pounds, good enough for fifth place in her weight class. Her total of 505 is 30 pounds more than she lifted at the regional meet two weeks earlier.

Lifters combine their total weight of three lifts - bench press, squat and dead lift - for a final total score.

Congratulations on a great season.
