Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for September 2024.
Seth Bergan
Senior
Seth is a member of the Wylie cross country team in the fall and track team during the spring. He is highly involved and accomplished at WHS as a member of the National Honor Society, a participant in Destination Imagination, and active in the WHS Future Farmers of America chapter showing chickens and competing in Agricultural Technologies and Mechanical Systems CTE event. He attends church at The Lady of Grace and is also a member of Boy Scouts. After high school, he plans to get a bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M in civil engineering.
Kate Delgado
Senior
Kate has been a four-year member of the Wylie tennis program and is a major contributor for the district championship team this fall. Away from school, she goes to Holy Family Catholic Church and volunteers for Meals on Wheels. Kate plans to continue her education at Texas Tech University and major in Human Resources.
Tate Heuerman
Senior
Tate is also a major contributor in the Wylie tennis program helping lead the team to a district championship this fall. You’ll find Tate highly active in a variety of activities including skiing, golf, archery, church small groups, fly fishing, hunting and especially bow hunting. He attends Southern Hills Church of Christ. After his time at WHS, he plans to attend Abilene Christian University.
Cutter Keesee
Senior
Cutter is the starting tight end of the Bulldog football team, and he runs track in the spring. He is a member of the WHS National Honor Society and participates in Young Life. He loves volunteering around the Abilene community with Ben Richey's Boys Ranch as well as with the Salvation Army, the Abilene Zoo, the Christian Service Center, Mission Thanksgiving, and the American Cancer Society. Cutter plans to attend Abilene Christian University and dual major in accounting and finance.
Sutton Peck
Senior
Sutton is a three-year member of the Bulldog football team and a state qualifier in powerlifting. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, serves in the WHS Peer Assistance and Leadership group and works with the Purple Dog Company, a student-operated business created out of WHS’s Business management course. Sutton is a youth group leader and teaches on occasion at church, and he has also volunteered for Boots on the Ground, West Texas Rehab, and Stick Horses and Capes. Sutton plans to play football in college and double major in Business management and finance with a business field minor. He also plans on continuing to run his business, Texadise Hat Company.
Aniah Richardson
Senior
Aniah has been a valuable member of the Wylie varsity volleyball program. She also spends her time investing in her passion for arts and crafts. Aniah attends church at Beltway, and she looks forward to pursuing her passion of becoming an interior designer after high school.
